Beam Compass - Paint Stick

My partner is an artist, and occasionally longs to draw large circles on a canvas. So I created this beam compass for her. It utilizes a stirring stick from a standard 5-gallon paint bucket as the beam. You'll need these components: - One 5-gallon paint bucket stirring stick (6.3 mm x 38.4 mm cross-section) - One 4d 1-1/2" smooth box nail - Two 4mm nuts - Two 4mm x 20mm socket head cap screws (one 16mm and one 20mm is ideal) - A 4mm washer - And a pencil To install the nail and cap screws, I heated them enough to melt the PLA, then pushed them into place. They all retained their shape that way. Alternatively, you could drill out the holes slightly and glue them in. If you have a Lowe's wooden yardstick available, try this design instead: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4382606
