Beam Blocker - Motorized Mirror Mount

Beam Blocker - Motorized Mirror Mount

thingiverse

I engineered this motorized beam blockage system to rapidly intercept a high-powered laser beam. It operates using conventional miniature RC servomotors (9g). The setup includes a 25mm reflector that redirects intense laser beams into an external containment unit, but for lower-wattage lasers (<10mW), no reflective surface or external containment is required. This motorized blockage system is not designed to maintain the laser beam's precise aiming stability since its arm relies solely on the servomotor axis for support.
