BeagleBone Black Stand
thingiverse
A stand is designed to elevate a BeagleBone Black microcontroller above surfaces, minimizing its exposure to liquids, dust, and metal components, while also simplifying the handling process. It accommodates mounting on clamshell laptops utilizing ClamShelf by sliding its beveled sides into place. The stand features precision-engineered design elements, including vents in the beveled sides that ensure optimal airflow under the circuit board both horizontally and vertically through its open top and bottom sections. Guides are incorporated to assist in accurately positioning the circuit board. Sturdy screw holes located in each corner of the stand enable stacking multiple stands using #4-40 screws, spacers, and nuts for added stability and convenience. To assemble this versatile stand: Download an STL file from a 3D printing service and have it printed according to specifications. The finished product should measure approximately 3 by 4 by 3/8 inches (76.2 by 101.6 by 9.525mm). To securely fasten your BeagleBone Black microcontroller, insert four #4-40 x 1/2 inch flat head or oval head machine screws and use plastic nuts, or opt for a combination of plastic washers and metal nuts to complete the attachment.
