Beaglebone Black Fan Case
thingiverse
Beaglebone Black Case engineered with the objective of accommodating a 25mm X 10mm 5VDC cooling fan on or beneath the lid. The design provides sufficient space for the fan and M2.5 pan head screws to be installed inside the case for a clean appearance, or the fan could be mounted outside on the lid. The lid is a snap fit. To place it in position, insert the single tang first and then push the other two into place. It is designed to be a "loose" fit but should not rattle or fall off. Removal requires squeezing the case bottom from the narrow ends while gently prying the lid up at one of the side tabs. I am open to suggestions for enhancements of the design. Print Settings Printer: Davinci 1.0a Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: Low-density supports printed with no issues. Post-Printing Board Fitment Once printed, it will be necessary to remove the support material from all of the port and lid tab holes. If printed with low-density supports, there should be little concern about splitting the print. Once the support material has been removed, file the edges to ensure a precise fit of the Ethernet and charging ports. The front of the board is held down by the Ethernet port and should be inserted into the case that end first. There is a 1mm gap designed around the edge of the board so there should be no interference when placing the board into the case. The rear of the board (SD/USB end) is held down by the two posts on the lid. Once inserted, the card should sit over the mounting posts. The posts should not extend above the top surface of the card. Note: Do not install the micro SD until after the board has been installed in the case.
