BeadSort: Machine for sorting perler beads
thingiverse
Here is a 3D model I designed during my bachelor exam. The system that aligns beads was derived from Scanlimes' model, and it has been an invaluable resource. The machine built from this design works seamlessly with the hardware and software I used. You can see a small example in action by watching the following video: https://youtu.be/8U88G62yCSs The software is available for download in the "files" section. Here are the components that made up my project: - GWS S125 Servo used as dispatcher (costing 15.62€) - SG90 Servo used as analyzer (priced at 1.15€) - Micro 130 DC Motor used for aligner (costing 0.56€) - 60RPM 6V Geared Motor used as sequentializer (priced at 2.36€) - TCS34725 Sensor used for analyzer (costing 2.88€) - Ball Bearing with an inner diameter of 10mm (priced at 0.72€) - L298N motor driver (costing 1.34€) - 5V 3A Power Supply for RasPi (priced at 2.99€) - 12V 3A power supply, along with some cables and a dc-dc step down (totaling around 5€) - 100 M2 6mm Philips Flat-Head Self-tapping Stainless screws (costing 1.28€) - 200 M3 (6-20mm) Philips Flat-Head Self-tapping Stainless Screws (priced at 4.79€) All prices included shipping, and I purchased all components from AliExpress.com.
