I modified a bead gear design found on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:42188 by adding a component for a standard stepper motor's 5mm shaft. This piece secures the shaft using an M3 screw inserted from the side.\nMy 3D printer's nozzle required a bit of effort to drill out a loose 5mm hole, and to my surprise, the M3 thread started its own thread when screwed in.
