Beacon Light Support Base

Beacon Light Support Base

I purchased a flashing light fixture on Ebay but when I went to mount it next to my door, there didn't seem to be a good way to mount it. I decided to try making a mount that would allow the wires to travel through the wall in a printed conduit and support the light upright. I used the existing nuts and washers to attach the light to the base and stripped enough wire off in order to "guide" the wires around the corner and out of the conduit hole. I have enhanced the design somewhat and it should print better than the original one I have photos of shown here. I had planned to reprint the design but the first one worked right off the printer that I doubt I will reprint it. I just made the enhancements while I was thinking of them should I ever need to reprint. For the sake of transparency, I've included both the old and the new files. The new file (V2) has added support under the shelf portion of the platform and also has a larger diameter and longer exit conduit. The original conduit fits but it is a tight fit. The creation file is from Cubify Design 2014 software. I'm sorry but I have no other file format other than the STL's you'll need to print. The red beacon light I used was purchased at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131320998172?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I wired the light directly to an outlet that had a thermocube (temperature activated switch) that comes on at 40 degrees F. This keeps me alerted if my pump shed temperature drops below 40 and exposes my waterlines to possible freezing temperatures.
