Beacon Holder for iRobot Roomba 980

Beacon Holder for iRobot Roomba 980

thingiverse

We have a Roomba 980 from iRobot. This vacuum cleaner features two beacons that prevent it from entering specific areas. However, placement can be difficult, and the robot can inadvertently knock them over. My wife and I designed these clever holders, allowing for precise directional aiming and multiple beacons in one convenient holder. They're also great for storage when not using them. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: I chose bright PLA to make the holders easily visible, since the beacons are black and often go missing otherwise. Thin walls may require 100% infill for added strength, but for this purpose, fast print speed and modest quality are sufficient. How I Designed This Autodesk 123D Design I created these designs using Autodesk 123D Design on my Mac OS X. You can remix or adjust the design to suit your needs, as I've included the original file here.
