Beach Cruiser USB Battery Box
thingiverse
I made a custom set of head and brake lights for my motorized bicycle, This is the power supply I use for them. it is designed to mount in the luggage rack of a Huffy Nel Lusso beach cruiser (the base I used for my bike) it mounts in the center "hole" above the rear fender, My lights are USB connections, hence the USB based box. it uses the "guts" from the battery packs shown in the second screen shot for assembly you will need 4 flat top 18650's two zip ties (to hold down batteries) 4 M3 bolts and nuts I used 16mm for my bike 4 brass m2 inserts and 4 M2 bolts to attach lid a piece of foam to glue to inside of lid to help keep the batteries from moving about or you can hinge it because there is a space inside to hold a phone cord and just use two of the M2's to close it or some other way you may like, , ooh Magnets would be cool. the reason I chose to use the cheap power bank guts, they don't automatically turn off if the device is drawing too little power this is mainly for the brake lights, they are a small long COB led and a 10mm red LED and two small round cob led that come on when you brake, (COB LED sourced from those Dollar tree tap lights) and lastly, in case anyone is interested Ill post pics of the headlight and taillights in case you want to build them yourself,
