Beaba baby cook lock and hinge spares
thingiverse
My neighbors got a brand new baby, and their Beaba babycook was left in shambles (it seems designed not to withstand more than one baby). The lock had given out, and so had one of the hinges. They said they love this device because it's extremely practical. After seeing it, I can see why - it's very practical indeed, but it's clearly not built to last (such low quality for a price that high). In any case, I decided to give them some spare parts as a gift so they wouldn't have to shell out money for a brand new one. As always, you have the FreeCAD sources (v0.17 PD NEXT) at your disposal, so feel free to improve, adapt or modify it however you see fit. ** The lock ** I've never laid eyes on the full original part because they only handed over half of it - the other half was nowhere to be found (hopefully the first baby didn't devour it). So I basically had to imagine what it could have looked like. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. It can certainly use some improvement. ** The hinges ** The original ones are made of plastic. The idea here is to print two tiny cylinders and screw an M3x20 bolt into each one - now those are real hinges that won't give way.
