However, when using certain materials, the idle extruder can experience unwanted oozing. Even with the silicone cloth that automatically cleans the nozzle as it becomes active again, plastic strings can sometimes interfere with the print. To minimize this issue, the latest batch of BCN3D Sigma features a simple printed component that securely holds the silicone support in place, making the cleaning process more effective and resulting in cleaner prints. We highly recommend printing this part using PLA at 0.15mm layer height, 100% infill, and three perimeters for optimal results.
