This is my fourth submission for the Multi-Function Reader challenge by Blackboard Transact. The primary configuration includes a base/stand that can be mounted horizontally or vertically, RJ45 and two USB ports inside the base, a 7" display with a stiff hinge, a speaker to the left of the screen, a camera centered atop the back of the display, and a detachable payment module housing Mag Stripe and RFID/NFC readers that can dock on either side of the display. Additional options include a second camera above the display screen, a motion sensor below it, a micro SD card slot next to other ports, a detachable receipt printer, and a Braille keypad added to the payment module. The modules are designed to look nice even when used as standalone units, with the possibility of incorporating a fold-out kickstand for propping at an angle.
