BBQ vent regulator
thingiverse
Clearly influenced by other designs, this vent is a passive unit only, featuring no fan, and is designed specifically for slow cooking. It's a compact device that operates with limited airflow, perfect for low and slow cooking on a kamado grill or similar setup. I utilize an imitation insulated steel kamado - akin to the 'acorn' model - which provides more than enough air for this application. Additionally, there's an adaptor plate involved; I'll post a photo of it later, but for now, the outlet connects directly to a 25mm (1 inch) square external aluminium tube. This tube is then attached to a modified plate that securely fits onto my BBQ air intake. Once the entire system is assembled - including the arduino controller (or possibly a micro:bit) - I'll re-post an update showcasing the completed project. This initial setup is designed to accommodate an SG90 servo, and as such, no additional supports are required.
