BBQ Clip-On Hook/Hangar
cults3d
My BBQ lacks storage for tools such as a scraper or tongs. However, the side-shelf is constructed from sheet metal that forms a squared-off "C" shape with two 90-degree bends on the outside edge, creating a flat flap of metal about 1mm thick and 1cm wide that folds back under the BBQ. This accessory has two parts: the first part slides onto this overhang and contains the hooks. The second part secures it in place. On my BBQ, the sides do not reach scorching temperatures, but they do warm up slightly. I printed this accessory using PETG. UPDATE: The initial version of the hooks are positioned at 90 degrees and parts tend to detach if there is any wind present. A new version "b" has been uploaded today: bbq_clamp_on_hook.scad has been updated, part 2 remains unchanged but bbq_clamp_on_hook_1b.stl utilizes better-shaped hooks and minimizes material usage bbq_clamp_on_hook_1b_modifier.stl is just the hoops; I printed that part at 40% infill while the rest of the accessory was printed with 20% infill.
