BBQ Clip-On Hook/Hangar

BBQ Clip-On Hook/Hangar

thingiverse

My BBQ lacks hooks for essential tools like scrapers or tongs. However, the side-shelf features a sheet metal design forming a squared-off "C" shape with two 90-degree bends along its outside edge. This creates a flat metal flap about 1mm thick and 1cm wide that's folded back under the BBQ. This tool has two components: one slides onto this overhang, featuring the hooks, while the other locks it in place. The sides of my BBQ don't get extremely hot but do warm up slightly. I printed this using PETG material. UPDATE: The initial version of the hooks is positioned at a 90-degree angle and parts tend to detach if there's any wind present. A new version "b" has been uploaded, featuring improved hooks with better shapes and reduced material usage in bbq_clamp_on_hook_1b.stl.
