BB8 Lithophane The Force Awakens

I designed this Star Wars-inspired BB-8 droid lithophane, a unique 3D-printed lamp that brings the beloved character to life in a whole new way. Using a design file provided online, I created this intricate and detailed lithophane by carefully layering translucent materials, allowing the light inside to shine through and create an ethereal effect. The BB-8 shape is carefully crafted to maintain its signature rounded appearance while still showcasing the inner workings of the droid. To achieve this striking visual effect, I employed a combination of 3D printing and lithophane technology. By layering transparent materials in a specific pattern, the design enables the light to pass through, creating an otherworldly glow that makes the BB-8 seem like it's radiating energy from within.
