BB Ratchet 0.3
thingiverse
6mm Version Accessible! Employ spragg6-6mm.stl - the model has been scaled up 133% to accommodate 6mm bearings, but the hex hole retains a diameter of 1/4". 0.3 Available Now! This ratchet utilizes several 4.5mm airgun BB's instead of plastic catches for increased strength. It spins freely forward and locks firmly backward, as demonstrated in the video. It features a 1/4" hex axle opening for screwdriver bits. You could also utilize it as an overrunning clutch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ0IG5aMxGI I revised it from my ratchet v0.1 by crafting suitable large openings in the housing for a 4.5mm BB, deepening the channels, and enabling the axle to fit the casing freely. The outcomes surpassed expectations - it's both free-spinning and robust enough to turn screws! [edit] A stronger six-ball version is available in spragg6.stl. The case design has also been altered to accommodate it. Instructions: Spragg6.stl contains all the components required. Insert the six BB's into the axle as you slide it into the casing, then attach the lid using glue. I have included the axle separately in case you encounter scaling issues. The parts fit perfectly for me in Makerware with 2 shells.
