The reader boasts a robust, vandal-proof design while maintaining a sleek appearance. Its compact size may even allow for thinner dimensions due to ample internal space for the antenna and mag stripe read head. The keys feature LED backlighting with color-changing options (blue, red, or green) for enhanced visual feedback. Additionally, all keys have braille overlays for accessibility. The design incorporates a speaker for audible feedback and allows for the body, upper and lower portions, and mounting plate to be manufactured through injection molding or 3D printing. Minimal exposed components ensure durability and security. The reader is fastened securely to the mounting plate using two M12 tubular locks, which can be adjusted based on thickness considerations. This lock type provides additional security by concealing visible screws that could be tampered with. If extra reinforcement is desired, metal inserts for locks and bolts may be integrated into the high-strength plastic body or mounting plate. The versatile mounting plate can accommodate standard gang boxes or custom hole patterns for installation flexibility.
