BB-8 short antenna
thingiverse
Short antenna for my full-sized BB-8 build is now complete. Carefully sanded to the precise angle into the bottom as required, it includes a sturdy peg for easy attachment to the head. A significant update was made on December 26, when both the structural integrity and an added slight nub to the antenna tip were upgraded. Recently updated, this antenna mount curves perfectly around an approximately 11-inch/280mm dome. Furthermore, I fixed the peg as it had previously been hovering slightly above its intended position. In short, I decided to take on a challenge where everything would be created from scratch by myself and with my own skills in modeling. The result is that every part of this model will either originate from my own design or made entirely out of basic materials. However, you can rest assured I won't go over the top - I wouldn't attempt to blow polycarb into a sphere for my prop head. Please note these designs are constantly evolving as they continue through various tests on actual props and updates may occur at any moment.
