Use this design inside one of the tiny BB-8 models available here on Thingiverse. To activate it, you'll need a strong magnet to attach to the top and any suitable material to add weight inside - then secure both with hot glue. Add another round magnet inside BB-8's head, allowing him to roll freely while keeping his head steady on the floor.
