Don't forget to subscribe to me on YouTube - I'm really passionate about 3D printing, designing and will be posting some exciting content soon. I decided my Google Home was looking a bit dull so designed him an awesome BB8 Costume! If you're after the BB-9 model, check out this link: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-80548. If you don't have a Google Home, I've also included 'no speaker' parts, so you can create just the model. Check out my YouTube video for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-5x7baY81o. When assembling the costume, make sure the USB connector is properly aligned with the head hole - it loops in and out of the hole to ensure correct alignment. Here are some things to watch out for: Make sure Google's mute switch isn't engaged; you can reach it through the top hole if you forget, like I did. Also, be careful not to glue the front grill on backwards - make sure it's oriented like mine, with the dots visible. This costume was printed without any supports at all, but I had to add a brim when printing the aerials. I used a layer height of 0.15mm and no supports. To give the bigger aerial in the back some extra detail, I colored it in with a black Sharpie. To assemble everything, I used superglue.
