Bayonet mechanism

Bayonet mechanism. For the concept of this mechanism I was inspired by the way the lenses were mounted on the body of my glorious 1975 Canon FTB.FD lenses used a bayonet collar, just align the two references indicated by the red dot, the bayonet would begin to rotate pushed by an internal spring, and then just tighten the collar.I therefore used two elements with bayonet teeth, a fixed male and a rotating female driven by a torsion spring. The spring is torsionally loaded and held at an angle by a trigger device actuated by the approach of the sectors to be joined. The purpose beyond simple coupling is to obtain a force that tightens the two plates by exploiting the inclined plane of the ferrule teeth. The torsion spring was calculated with the application available on the manufacturer's website Gutekunst Federn.
