This is a bayonet fixture designed to connect cylindrical objects. The goal is to create an adjustable, parametrized model that can be easily incorporated into other designs. The fixture consists of two primary features: * A nose with an anchor point, typically located at the top * A cut-out with a rest feature, usually positioned at the bottom A previous version of this design was used in the construction of a water meter measurement device (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3238162). This example includes: * A parametrizable model ("Bajonet_Parametrisied_v18.FCStd") * Schematics outlining the adjustable parameters * Two test structures with smaller and larger interconnects (FreeCAD and STL files, "Teststructure...") * Instructions for assembling a test structure To incorporate this fixture into your own designs, follow these steps: 1. Open the parametrized model in FreeCAD and navigate to the parameter spreadsheet. 2. Adjust the parameters according to your needs (diameter, number of connections, geometry, etc.) - consult the attached schematics and comments for details. 3. The model will update accordingly. 4. Mark the nose, copy it, and insert it into your design at the desired location. 5. Mark the "Cut Out", copy it, and insert it into your design to create clearance for the lower part (rest). 6. Mark the "Rest", copy it, and insert it into the previously created cut-out. Your fixture is now complete!
