The bronze Ros Beyaert, crafted by Aloïs De Beule and Domien Ingels, and the sculptural group "Beauty, strength, and wisdom," created by Jules-Pierre Biesbroeck, are meager remnants of a world long past. Ros Beyaard is a saga revolving around an enigmatic rock in Dinant. Two distinct versions of this tale exist. Once upon a time, there were four Heemskinderen. Their father had bestowed upon them a magical horse, but Charlemagne coveted this steed and chose to cast a curse on the Four Heemskinderen. As the curse took effect, the children transformed into four towering rocks. With the Four Heemskinderen now petrified, Charlemagne gained control over the horse, yet the horse's sorrow turned it into a rock (Rocher Beyard). Charlemagne had lost possession of the horse. Version Two: In times long past, there were four Heemskinderen. Their father's magical horse was their companion, but Charlemagne sought to claim this steed for himself and decided to murder the four Heemskinderen. Pursuing them relentlessly, he closed in. When the children reached the Meuse River, they managed to escape from nowhere, but the horse proved their salvation. The children mounted the horse, which galloped so fiercely against a rock that it split in two, and they leaped over the river. Rescued, the children escaped. This object is part of "Scan The World."
