Baureihe 95 / T 20 (Preußen)

The DR introduced the T 20 (Preußen) /Baureihe 95, a five-coupled tender locomotive with an axle arrangement of 1'E1', in early 1923 for use on heavy freight trains on steep main lines. Because development of this series began during the last years of Prussian state railways, it is also known by its planned designation as a Prussian T 20 in accordance with the numbering system of the Prussian state railways. It belongs to one of the last developments of the Reichsbahn before the procurement of standard steam locomotives.
