Bauhaus Duplo #3: Factory Window
thingiverse
Before founding the Bauhaus, Walter Gropius designed the Fagus Werk in Alfeld. The striking open window fronts, going around corners of the building as well, were there at the starting point of Bauhaus architecture. Now you can create this look for your Duplo buildings and recreate the amazing glass front of the Bauhaus Dessau building or make your own original Duplo Bauhaus architecture. Bauhaus and Lego/Duplo is a perfect marriage. That much is clear. I was missing some key design elements to create proper Bauhaus Duplo buildings, so I started designing and printing them. I aim to get as many objects ready as possible for the #Bauhaus100 anniversary in 2019. I will try to incorporate central Bauhaus design elements while not compromising on Duplo functionality and universality. I also plan to add Lego versions of all objects. This might take some time, though, since I'm less focused on this aspect. All objects will be created in OpenSCAD, and the scripts will be included so you can make your own variants and modifications. Here's a list of completed objects: 1. Chair 2. Teapot 3. Factory Window 4. Table Lamp 5. Round Corner 6. Rugs 7. Play Boxes
