Battlestar Galatica MKII Viper with Landing Gear

The best things about 3D printing are getting to print the models that you loved as a kid, and for me, one of them is definitely the Battlestar Viper. I started searching online and found many versions of this iconic spaceship. I wanted one with landing gear so it would sit better on display, which led me to Mylotian's version initially. However, when I scaled down his design, the print turned out too thin for my liking. I was determined to find a version that was all one piece. Next, I tried alpokemon's version with a stand, and although it looked great, it didn't have landing gear like I wanted. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and combine elements from both designs. I thickened the landing gear to make it more sturdy, and then I leveled out the Viper's fuselage to give it a more balanced look. I also hollowed out the rockets slightly to reduce weight and improve printability. The result is a unique blend of two great models that I'm really proud of.
