This is a remake of the fantastic work by 660 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:909629) The only change is that i splitted the design inside Cura horizontaly. This helps reduce drastically the supports to only 3% from 21% originally, compared to the full body print, having a gain of 1 hour less print time with a 6mm nozzle, to 3h44m. I have also included the cura file so that anyone wishes can open it directly to see the settings used. Printing: Although the result is decent as a small toy for kids with 6mm nozzle, if you want more detail, go for the standard 0.4 or smaller nozzle (i will try that in the future along with other possible model orientation and update this remake with more pics hopefully) Glue in the 2 pcs with superglue (just make sure to align them perfectly to make an almost seamless join), and you are ready to hunt some cylons! Updated with 0.3mm Nozzle, and different orientation (3N files): The only change is that i splitted the design inside Cura verticaly this time. As expected with 0.3mm nozzle and 0.12mm layer height you can have almost perfectly detailed surface, and almost no supports needed (1%)!! Of course time is almost triple compared to 0.6mm mozzle first attempt, but result really worth it! When loading stl file in slicer you need to lower the vipers in half to get the 50-50 result. In case that is difficult for you, i have also shared the 3mf slicer file to open it directly and be ready to slice right away! Happy printing!
