This tool is designed for use with wet or dry erase markers (as required for your specific battle mat). I used my existing Chessex battlemats for measurements; I have a “vintage” mat with 20mm squares as well as more modern mats with 25mm squares, so this compass has an arm spaced for each style.Printed in PLA with an 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill. The pivot “bearing” has a slot in the bottom which can be used to help break it loose.EDIT: I've added a single-armed compass model per my daughter's request which is spaced only for modern 25mm battlemats.
