Battle.net is a website where I download some of my games, so I thought it would be cool to create a coaster with the original Battle.net logo. This download contains two drink coasters, a negative and positive one. If you print it as a drink coaster, I recommend printing the negative one because that one provides more stability for your glass or cup. Use these coasters to place your favorite drink. If you have printed it, don't hesitate to show off your skills by uploading a picture. This is a standard size coaster (100 by 100 by 5 mm), designed to fit in my coaster holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 I have printed this model with Ultimaker white PLA using the following settings: 0.2mm layer height, 18% infill, and a 0.4mm nozzle at 210 degrees Celsius. I used a heated bed to prevent curling up at the bottom. To avoid any issues, you can use your own configuration. Design Steps I picked a logo from my browser and converted it into an SVG format using InkScape (see video*). Then, I opened the SVG file in Blender and made it a 3D object. In MeshMixer, I repaired the file using the 'Inspector' button under the 'Analysis' tab. After that, I added a drink coaster to the model. To create the positive file, I scaled the model in MeshMixer and merged it with the drink coaster. For the negative model, I used 123D Design to subtract the logo from a standard drink coaster. I saved it as an STL file and sliced it for printing. Since the model still had some issues even after repairing it in MeshMixer, I decided to export it into Netfabb Online Service, a free STL repairing service. After this process, I previewed the model in my slicer (something I advise you to do before printing a model). The preview looked great with perfect lines, so I could print it without any problems.
