This is directly taken from the original source. I made some additions to ensure we can easily determine if our rechargeable batteries are completely charged or running out of power. It's quite simple to accomplish this (and switch) using OpenSCAD. To differentiate between a full and an empty battery, I use two distinct PLA colors.
