Battery holder for P47 3Dlab plane
thingiverse
I have a 3Dlab P47 model and wanted to upgrade its battery holder, also hoping to adjust the CG with it. Both holders feature a lower recess allowing batteries to be strapped in securely using a velcro strap. Once secured, the holder can be locked into place at various positions, providing a non-moving CG weight. This design may fit other models; simply adjust the overall size in a slicer or use the flat one if necessary. Two of these holders are 'cage' types, while the other has notches on one side for securing with a side bolt. Otherwise, you can glue a bolt holder to place and attach the slotted strip (two slot sizes) to both the battery holder and another suitable point as shown in the photo. The flat holder is designed with two 2x3mm rails that can be glued to the sides, allowing it to slide into place. I will be using this one due to its lightness compared to the other options. This is my first design attempt, and I hope you find it useful. Other parts visible in the photos include cleats for control rods and a receiver holder for general use.
