EDIT 24 Feb 24Updated STLs so that clips are easier to fit to lid.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Many of the existing STLs for the Riot battery bay try to make the hinge part of the print. I think this is a mistake because it becomes the first thing to break. The hinge for this design instead uses a piece of a wooden BBQ skewer round about 3mm in diameter, length around 55mm - 60mm.I also used an idea fromhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5401449which neatly ducks the problem of printing the clips as part of the hatch and does them separately. The hole for the hinge may need the support removing with a 3.5mm drill bit.The clips should be push fit into place and then fixed with a dab of CANote that the clips were designed to be more secure than the original, and as a consequence they work best if you release one side at a time. If you want to make it easier to open you can file/snip the clips down.WarningDO NOT use this design without securing the aircraft battery with a velcro battery strap.DisclaimerThis design is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but without any warranty; without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
