Battery Cutoff Switch Housing
thingiverse
I designed a battery cutoff switch housing that can be mounted directly to a typical travel trailer or boat battery box, providing easy access to the switch while keeping the surrounding area safe from potential electrical hazards. To ensure a secure fit, a small section of the battery box needs to be cut out to accommodate the cables that will pass through it, allowing for a snug connection between the housing and the box. The switch housing also features a discreet weeping hole positioned at the bottom, designed to allow any water that may seep into the enclosure to drain harmlessly away. For added protection against moisture, I applied a bead of silicone sealant around the edges of the housing, creating a watertight seal between the two components.
