My design is a standout in that it serves more than one purpose - replacing the original battery cover with a new cover that adds functionality to the device. In this case, the device is the Utilitech FT-LOW1424-1 65-Lumen LED Flashlight, which is widely available and affordable, sold by a large tool supply store chain in the U.S. They often offer coupons for free flashlights. Additionally, it can be purchased on EBay or from at least one large hardware store chain in the country.My design replaces the battery cover with a new cover that allows mounting onto a bicycle's handlebars to serve as a headlight. The lens can also be covered with red transparent self-adhesive film, readily available at auto parts stores for under $2.00 U.S., and then mounted on the bicycle's seat post, pointing rearward to act as a tail light, enhancing nighttime visibility.Additional components required for assembly are 2 each of 6mm x 45, 50, or 55mm hex bolts, depending on handlebar or seat post diameter, 2 each of 6mm washers, and 2 each of 6mm hex nuts.
