A Keysonic wireless keyboard's battery cover broke due to failed prongs, causing power loss and frustration. The user printed a replacement cover using 3D printing technology. The original cover design was created in qCAD, with areas of high strain reinforced and latch flexibility increased. However, the support buttresses for the prongs were found to be fragile and could tear off during printing. The keyboard cover was successfully printed on a Stratasys Dimension 768 SST using breakaway support material. To print a keyboard cover, use the provided STL file; if modifications are needed for different devices, start with the DXF file and use OpenSCAD to create an updated STL model.
