Battery cover for BP511A
thingiverse
I needed a cover for some camera batteries that fit my Canon 40D, and it works great for other models like the 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, and 5D too. You can check out this article from eos-magazine.com to see which cameras are compatible: http://www.eos-magazine.com/articles/power/Resources/Battgrip-table-2013.pdf. My first attempt at making the cover was a bit rough because I forgot to add the small locating pips that hold it in place. I fixed this issue by using my soldering iron to melt tiny bumps into the top edges of the cover, and now it fits perfectly. For version #2, I added the pips but haven't made them yet since I don't need any more covers at this time. If you decide to make one, please let me know how it turns out for you. I hope this information is helpful for you. By the way, I'm curious about the file sizes - there's a big difference between them, and I have no idea why that's happening. I've loaded both files into Cura, and they look identical except for the locating pips. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao i3 Plus Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 100%
