Battery Cover for Bathroom Scale - Two Versions - CR2032
prusaprinters
Our electronic bathroom scale requires two CR2032 “coin cell” batteries. The small round plastic cover for the battery compartment was stolen by space aliens (at least that's my theory, as it just mysteriously disappeared on day.Designing and printing a replacement (two versions, actually) was a fun morning project. The two versions are functionally identical, the difference between the two is that one version has a slot in the back (for removing and tightening using a coin or similar object), and the other has a small raided tab. Both version work well, but I prefer the raised tab version because I don't need to hunt around for a coin. The battery compartment requires a cover with two little “hooks” on the underside. In use the cover is placed into the opening and given a slight clockwise twist to lock the hooks. Print InstructionsPrint in PLA using the gcode or 3mf files provided. In general:perimeters = 315% rectilinear infillPrint the slot version top (slot) down. No supports are needed.Print the tab version tab up. This version requires “supports on bed only”.
