Battery Charge Status Indicator

Battery Charge Status Indicator

pinshape

This is a charge indicator that you can stick onto any battery, letting it tell whether the battery is charged or not. It works with a sliding mechanism that moves between two parts - one part shows fully charged, while the other shows empty. You'll see in the photos that this indication was printed in three colors (green for full and red for empty), but if you don't want to print yours in three colors, you can print it all in one color because each half has a cross and a tick. The indicator is printed in three pieces, meaning it needs assembly. This is easy as all you have to do is put the slider into one part and then glue the two parts side-by-side onto the battery so that the slider can move between the two parts. (If you glue the two parts directly together, there's a chance you'll glue the slider so it can't slide.) For sticking, you can use double-sided tape or normal multipurpose glue. The indicator was printed with our own PLA filament. You can buy some here: http://www.3dexfilament.co.uk Layer height was 0.1mm and infill was 100%. Print time is approximately 7 minutes.
