This is a versatile charge indicator that can be easily attached to any battery, providing an instant visual indication of the battery's charge level. The indicator features a smooth-sliding mechanism between two separate halves - one half indicates a fully charged battery while the other half signals a completely empty battery. In the accompanying photos, you'll notice the indication is displayed in three distinct colours: green for full and red for empty. However, if you prefer to keep things simple, you can print the entire indicator in a single colour, as each half features both a cross and a tick to serve as visual cues. The charge indicator consists of three separate printed parts that require assembly. This process is straightforward - simply insert the slider into one half and then attach the two halves side-by-side to the battery, ensuring the slider can move smoothly between them. When gluing the halves together, be careful not to trap the slider in place, which could render it immovable. For optimal adhesion, you can use double-sided tape or multipurpose glue. The charge indicator was produced using our high-quality PLA filament, available for purchase at http://www.3dexfilament.co.uk. The printing settings were as follows: a layer height of 0.1mm and an infill percentage of 100%. With these parameters, the print time came in at approximately 7 minutes.
