Battery Case (18650)
thingiverse
This is a case for a high-performance 12x18650 cell battery pack, delivering 12 volts and 9 amp-hours of power. I designed this custom pack for my motorcycle when I decided to upgrade from the traditional lead battery. The benefits are substantial: significantly reduced weight, increased storage capacity under the seat (as evident in the photos, providing ample space for a small first aid kit and a compact toolbox), and fewer concerns about battery discharge. To assemble the battery pack, you will need: - Upper section - Lower section - Flexible wire with a 3mm diameter - Round terminals with an external diameter of 12mm - The original screws and nuts from the old battery The case is engineered to be as waterproof as possible; however, I recommend adding tape around the joint between both sections or, if feasible, bonding them with silicone sealant. The terminals are designed to match those on the lead battery, ensuring seamless integration without requiring any modifications to your motorcycle's setup. This custom pack is remarkably smaller than its OEM lead battery counterpart. You may need to employ Velcro or a similar fastening system to secure it in place. The E13 logo signifies the manufacturer of the pack I used - e13batteries.com.
