Battery Cap for 48v 17.5AH Rear Rack Battery
thingiverse
I take my battery inside after every time I use it. Where I live, the wind is strong enough to blow the tarp off my bike, and while I trust the weather resistance of most of my ebike parts, it seems that the weakest point on my bike setup is the exposed battery port, which I try not to get wet at all. I couldn't find a cap for one of these anywhere but since it's a simple part I designed it myself. Conveniently this fits both sides of the connection, the battery port and the one on the rack- though it's tighter on the rack port- really tight, hence the holes on the side for attaching a string or just getting leverage. Rotate so that the flat part lies on the bed, doesn't need supports or brim. If your printer is not particularly tuned, consider printing at 101% in case the press fitting comes out wrong and is too tight. It's a short print either way.
