An enhanced iteration of my miniature battery enclosure for small boats is now designed to accommodate numerous ATV and motorcycle batteries. It's ideal for use in compact aluminum vessels where weight is a crucial factor yet still desire to employ a radio or fishfinder. This design leverages the compact backup battery from high-end luxury sedans, specifically the 12V 12Ah 200A unit with part number 000 982 96 08 from Mercedes-Benz, available online at pelicanparts.com. This enclosure features holes for wire inputs, a budget-friendly digital voltage gauge with a range of 4.5-30V (available on Amazon.ca), and a generic 1/2" toggle switch. Additionally, two distinct lid designs are offered, accessible via thingiverse.com: one part number is 3702201 and the other is 3707534. Compared to its predecessor, this iteration boasts increased height. It's recommended that it be printed using PETG with high infill or TPU for standard printing, as PLA tends to become too soft in summer heat and distorts.
