Batterylid We have a ton of these cheap small led light chains around the house. They take two AA batteries, and have a small cheap plastic lid that always either breaks off or get lost. The chain in the photos is one from https://www.harald-nyborg.dk/nowel-lyskugler-oe-6-cm-lyse-farver-10-stk but it is cheap china stuff so I believe it is used in other products too. I have seen it from a couple other vendors. The original fit is not too tight, and neither is this. Design Getting the details of the fitting in both ends right was a bit of a nightmare, and took several attempts and edits in Fusion360. I learned a lot along the way. :-D Printing I printed it in PLA at 0.15 layer height, and I think that ABS would work as well. In Prusaslicer/SuperSlicer I had autogenerated supports turned on and especially the small hole at one end needs supports. Even for PLA with ample bridge cooling. Category: Decor
