Battery Box for Multistar 6sx5200mah 10C lipo
thingiverse
This is a battery enclosure and lid designed for a Multistar 6sx5200mah 10C lipo battery. I developed this case specifically for the Firefly6 but it could easily be adapted for other applications that utilize this lithium-polymer cell. Due to its design, the enclosure will extend above the wing of the Firefly6 and level with its bottom edge; thus, I created perimeter fairings that encircle the top edges of the enclosure to facilitate smooth airflow over the area. If you choose to use these parts on a Firefly6 model aircraft, it is recommended that two sets be printed - each set consists of individual left- and right-hand versions. When preparing the second set, it will be necessary to mirror the battery enclosure and all surrounding fairing designs along their longest axis in order to create matching components for either side of your airplane. To install this unit on a Firefly6 aircraft, you must remove the innermost portion of its original enclosure to accommodate the newly designed printed boxes; the innermost rear corner of these new enclosures should abut the central composite fuselage frame's edges. Furthermore, a specific slot for the power cable on one end of each enclosure printout will sit closer towards the airplane's front side. Lastly, cut out the bottom part of the wing to gain access for connecting this new unit while taking care not to damage installed magnets.
