Battery Box for Heated Gloves
thingiverse
I'm upgrading my Heated Motorcycle Gloves for Winter Driving with a new battery box. The original one only supports 3 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries or 1.2V rechargeable batteries, which last between 2 to 4 hours. These new batteries I've sourced from eBay will provide up to 8 hours of power. You can find them here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kastar-Battery-LCD-Charger-for-Olympus-BLS-5-PS-BLS5-BLS-50-Olympus-OM-D-E-M10/253514057274?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=552699213750&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 The Heated Gloves themselves also came from eBay, from this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Electric-Battery-Powered-Touchscreen-Winter-Hand-Warm-Heated-Gloves/264015993516?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=563547975941&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 For the battery connectors, I've sourced them from eBay as well, from this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pairs-XT60-Male-Female-Bullet-Connectors-Plugs-for-RC-Lipo-Battery/123434697447?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 The original battery pack only supported 4.5 volts, but these new batteries provide a whopping 7.4 volts at 2100mAh of power. To install the new battery box, simply screw in two 3mm screws to hold it in place and connect the XT60 plugs to the gloves.
