Batsignal (From movie: The Dark Knight Rises, 2012)
myminifactory
The model brings to life the Batsignal as seen in the iconic movie "The Dark Knight Rises" from 2012. Carefully crafted at a 1:8 scale, approximately matching Batman's estimated height, it can be easily scaled up or down. However, scaling it down would require significant post-printing modifications. If you appreciate this model, please consider showing your appreciation by tipping me on the left side of your screen. Modelling and preparing the files for 3D printing took around 20 hours, but the actual 3D printing process consumed a whopping 65 hours. Sanding, painting, and weathering added countless hours of work, easily exceeding 100 hours. Additionally, creating the instructions manual and updating the files for Thingiverse required several dozen extra hours. Take another look at the pictures and let me know if you think it's worthy of recognition. If you're interested in obtaining a copy of the blueprint, simply send me a private message. This model makes an excellent companion for the 3D printed Batsignal, but please note that it is not free. Several non-printed elements were used to bring this project to life: - 1x MicroUSB female terminal - 1x 3.3V voltage regulator - 1x 1W LED + Aluminum heat sink - 1mm cable for wiring, approximately 30 cm (12 inches) long - 12x M3 screws with varying lengths - 14x M3 nuts - 2x M6 bolts to attach the frame to the base - A large quantity of M2 screws with half-round heads and hex sockets (approximately 40-50) - 1x 3-pin slide switch - Transparent 400-micron acetate sheet These components can be found in various stores, including Aliexpress, which offers international shipping. The wiring diagram is detailed in the assembly instructions. Alternatively, the electric box was designed to accommodate a 3xAAA battery holder. You can choose between using USB or batteries. I'll provide more information as questions arise in the comments section. Otherwise, I think there's not much else to say. Thank you for visiting! Print, share, and enjoy this amazing model. The first person to capture a picture of the Batsignal on a foggy night will receive a token from me – but finding fog in cities these days is quite challenging indeed.
