The car's design was conceptualized by renowned illustrator Julian Caldow, who also brought the Batwing to life. Keith Short crafted the body of the vehicle in collaboration with Eddie Butler. The result is a sleek and low-profile car built on a Chevrolet Impala chassis. Its rear section bears an uncanny resemblance to that of the Fiat Turbina, a gas-turbine concept from the 1950s. Two screen-used Batmobiles now reside, one at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles and the other in Jon Peters' Malibu garage.
