I scanned a Batman action figure that stands at around 12 inches tall using my EinScan Pro+. Although I had the color add-on for the scanner, the results were less than stellar, so I decided to repaint the colors in 3D-Coat instead. In addition to correcting the coloring, I also utilized 3DC to fill in some of the smaller holes that the scanner failed to capture, and then proceeded to retopologize and bake the object, ultimately reducing it from its original 2.5 million polygons down to a more manageable 27,300. Unfortunately, the toy's cape proved to be a challenging aspect to scan due to its fabric material.
