Batman Emblem dual color
thingiverse
I stumbled upon a fantastic Batman logo from bio827 and immediately craved having it printed in vibrant dual color. I dissected the original model into two distinct components - a base plate meant for printing in bold yellow, and a separate Batman symbol and outer oval ring to be superimposed onto the first model using sleek black filament. I created gcode with Cura, requiring some tweaking of standard settings for the second part. What I did was: - Uncheck "Automatically drop models to the build plate" in preferences - Employing a move in the Z-direction, I elevated the model to the precise height - which was the thickness of the first part, measuring 1mm in my case - Unchecking "Remove empty first layers" in mesh fixes section Upon completion of these adjustments, as soon as the initial yellow part emerged from the printer, I swiftly switched filament to black and printed the top part directly onto the base one. I'm thoroughly convinced that it looks absolutely awesome.
